Example #2: To activate "Sega Superstars", the pair units: Sonic & Tails and Beat & Gum are required, along with the solo unit, Ulala being equipped with either one of those two pair units.Example: To activate "Shadow Operatives, Unite!", the pair units: Mitsuru & Akihiko and KOS-MOS & Aigis are required, along with the solo unit, Labrys being equipped with either one of those two pair units.Multiple Assault: Similar to Namco X Capcom, but activating it requires the units on the boards meeting their conditions, such as having the required solo unit(s) and pair units. However, they don't get experience as a result. Single Unit: Similar to Namco X Capcom, but unlike it, a solo unit or a pair unit with one of the people from it can temporarily be alone to fight during certain parts of the story, like Labrys against Sheath and the boss battle with Alisa for example, just in cases when a hero is brainwashed, betrays the group, goes off alone, etc.Example: Fuuka Yamagishi can fully heal a pair unit with Oracle.Unlike solo units, they can assist a unit they're equipped with once per stage, such as healing the unit, raising the unit's stats, inflicting the status condition on enemies, curing the unit's status condition(s), decreasing enemies' stats, etc. Navigator Units: A new type of unit that can be equipped to a pair unit alongside a solo unit. Unlike Project X Zone 1 and 2, some chapters will include at least one stage with different enemies and bosses to face. In battle, players use well-timed attacks and combos to do as much damage to the opponent as possible before their turn ends. Characters are paired up into Pair Units, with Solo Units consisting of a single character able to assist them when linked together. Like its prequels, players strategically maneuver their characters across a field to battle with the enemy.
